Arthas was weakened in the Frozen Throne campaign, but still superior to Illidan. Illidan’s greatest claim to fame is SURVIVING a fight with Arthas after he obtained Frostmourne. Frostmourne is the sword that corrupted Arthas, but he did not fuse with the Lich King (Ner’zhul) until he equipped the armor Ner’zhul was sealed in. The Lich King has broken free from the Legion, which was empowered by a Titan (>Old Gods). He’s supposed to be unstoppable.

i suppose it would seem like that for illidan.. but you have to remember his mind is full of rage and hatred and that can cause you to make mistakes..so in that sense yes you are right. but in terms of raw poer illidan was stronger. (obviously arthas is now since he binded with ner’zuel). but yeah i thought the same as you with the old gods but its also a theory that the old gods were commuting to eachother with plans and shit like that. since they talk telepathic insted of voices. who knows

The forgotten one beging weakend is a theory & the fact that arthats defeated illiadin is that illidian made a mistake makes him less than a fighter than arthas= weaker and i know that old gods are freaking powerfull but now after the titans defeat and years of imprsionment i think that made them weaker dont u think ?!

the forgotton one was weakend so thats just a lucky chance. (im assuming your refering to that old god). if so look at yogg sarron he is one also and he could rip arthas a new ass hole. ingame wise maybe not for boss purposes but in lore the old gods were some of the most powerful things to ever walk azeroth next to the titans. and he didnt beat illidan because he was more powerful he beat him because illidan made a mistake when he flew backwards. he left his chest open.
