World of Warcraft Question about frost mages in Northrend?
Stickshift asked:
I’m a frost mage about to get into Northrend. Do many of the mobs there have an inherent resistance to frost damage? I see most of the land there is surrounded or covered in ice and the mobs look and are named like they would. Is this a continent that made many mages switch to Fire?

Although it seems like everything in Northrend should have an inherant frost resistant, I think that only frost/water elementals are immune to it. I don’t think that everything has high enough frost resistant to make a difference in gameplay though.
Also, why level frost? Fire is much more fun. 2 shotting enemies with pyroblast never gets old.

As Epic said only the Elementals are Immune. I leveled as Frost and love taking out mobs solo with frost nova and blizzard!
