A hunter does not need to know the health and mana of their party members. As selfish as it sounds, their only concern is not standing in fire, not pulling aggro and doing as much damage as possible. So, it is reasonably okay to not have full or any raid frames in that regard. There is not a whole lot a hunter can do if things sour, it is easy enough for them to see if the raid is wiping by there being less standing bodies.
