Cute Toons? I Prefer Ugly.
I always find it superbly interesting to run into someone posting a reasoning for something that is completely opposite to what I think.
There’s a recent post in the popular Terra Nova WoW blog, written by a fellow female, where part of the complaint is that the Horde characters cannot be made “cute”.
Personally, I chose to be a Horde Troll specifically because they’re not cute. Had I looked around more, I would have chosen an Orc instead, as I personally believe they’re even uglier.
Why did I go for an ugly toon? One reason: I’m here to play, not be approached for cybersex. I still get random hit ons in the form of occasional wolf whistles, etc, especially when my player dances in a group with a practical stranger or three, but that’s pretty minor, and it’s just the way I like it.
BTW, with the cross-realm battlegrounds in place now, my toon listed on the side is back up to Sargeant!
