Avoid WoW Scams: Sample of using spaces to impersonate
More and more scammers are impersonating Game Masters (Blizzard employees) and System messages to try to get accounts or crazy responses out of players who are unaware of what is going on. Here’s an example of how the spaces can be used to impersonate a GM talking to you. Note, Bob is the player who is whispering you, and he’s used extra spaces after his original message to enable the GM message to wrap around and look like it’s coming from a different player who is also whispering at the same time:

you think thats a twist i scored myself a 60mage and a 60 rouge by wispering them saying hey then made it look like sum one eles was talking and i made it look like a gm and said greetings you know what gms say then i said whats up as my alt then did another gm thing saying we belive that more then 2 people are logging onto ur account this is aginst the rules please send you sqa username and password we need these to determin if ur a true owner send to (fake e-mail that sounds real) tell them to not replie to the gm online just to e-mailem bam u got pw sqa and user change phone number e-mail and u have full control :O worked twice for me i will make a think in pain and post it for yas to look at so u understand it better

[bob] whispers:whats up with you?
[jack] whispers: please send you username pw and sqa to (fake e-mail) so we can confirm this is the real user

[jack] whispers:you cannot replie to this user only the e-mail and the reason we are asking for this info is because shareing accounts is breaking the rules

[jack] whispers: thanks for understanding this is for the safety of your account
[bob] whispers: okay meet u in camp t
[jack] whispers: if you do not send in ur sqa pw and username in the next 10minutes we will have to close your account untill this is fixed!
and u can go on if you would like but dont over do it and try choping it up a bit more so its not to long of a sentance hope you all under stand this
